Anna Thorvaldsdottir is an Icelandic composer. She studied composition (BA) at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, as well as at the University of California, San Diego (MA, PhD). Commissioning orchestras include the Berling Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Her compositional oeuvre includes works for orchestra, chamber music, as well as choir.
